Proud to call him "Pappy"

After being cut from the Atlanta Cardinals baseball training camp, Clayton Reed Jr. made a life with his wife, Mary, and his daughter, Cindy, in Fleetwood Pennsylvania.

At the end of a successful building career, Reed, who built over 65 homes in Fleetwood, welcomed sports back into his life when joining the Lyons Senior Citizen softball team.

This personal photo essay depicts Clayton Reed Jr., known to me as "Pappy", as the active youthful grandfather he is, even after receiving a hip replacement and retiring from work and softball alongside his family.
