Journey through Japan

I wonder how I got here- to Japan, to the top of the mountain where I sit writing, to becoming a photojournalist so interested in humans and their interactions that I sometimes struggle to appreciate life without them. When did I become a person who is only satisfied by chasing challenges?

During a four month trip to Japan, I found myself traveling cross country with confidence in nothing but my camera.

My Japanese language skills are far from fluent. Cross-cultural communication has become incredibly interesting, my focus, especially when relying solely on body language in a culture that tends to avoid it.

Take a look at a few shots from various adventures in Japan, and be sure to take a look at (and maybe even order a copy) my documentary book: here

Proceeds will go to the Reading Pagoda Foundation, which you can read about inside.
